The predominant climate is a tropical highland climate, characterized by altitudes above 500 meters, which determines special conditions, with mild average temperatures between 18°C and 26°C, and an annual temperature range between 7°C and 9°C.
Like all tropical climates, the tropical highland climate has the same rainfall performance as the others. However, summers are milder due to its high altitude. Average annual temperatures drop to less than 23°C and rainfall increases. In winter, cold fronts originating from the Atlantic polar mass can cause occasional frosts.
